The PATT is the unofficial counterpart of the South Tyrolean People's Party in Trentino and the two parties contested together several general and European elections. Franco Panizza is the party's current secretary, while Walter Kaswalder its long-time president. Ugo Rossi, a former leader of the party, has served as the President of Trentino since 2013.
